Sestina

Came up with an idea last night for a one-act called 3-D Sestina, in which 6 characters will sit around and talk about each one's disparate topic, and each character would be a analogous to a line of a Sestina. So a scene for every verse, and every character gets six sentences in each scene. Should be an interesting experiment in form, if nothing ( Read more... )

I liked Carnivale until those people went crazy with it. I'm not even all the way through the series collection yet and I'm dreading what comes next. It's too...random. Like, "let's throw THIS in here and see what happens! We'll clean up all the loose ends it creates LATER!"

Except there's not going to BE a "later" because the stupid thing ended. At least, that's what I'm afraid of, not being more than 2/3rds of the way through it.

...that is, if we are talking about the same thing. HBO series, right?

Yes, the HBO series. I grew weary of it before it ended, so I can't enlighten you, ending-wise. Loved the opening credits sequence, though.

I only watch it cos of Nick Stahl. I'd watch him doing interpretive dance to stock quotes.

The opening credits are wonderful, but too long. I think they should have made a new morph sequence every week.
