among other things, this drives me up a wall!

I saw this log on one of the caches i'm watching:

Log Date: 10/18/2008
I'm going to count this as a find since I found the spot, evidenced by the geocache description page (which I will post a photo of) but the cannister and log page were missing. Will email owner on this one.
Well guess what genius ( Read more... )

ha ha ha, I love those. "I didn't find it, but I'm going to pretend I did."

*eyeroll*

What part of found is so damn hard to understand??

apparently, quite a bit is tough to understand about the word "found"!

You know my feelings on this; we've discussed it before. We can always hope that the cache owner has the good sense to delete the bogus log. Unfortunately, this kind of thing is still happening a lot in Louisville, and is condoned by the cachers there, even a few big number people that you wouldn't expect.

Yeah. I found a new job. It wasn't there when I went to interview, but I'll post pics of the newspaper article that advertised it. I reject this reality and insert my own.

Oh no, I was just mocking the idea of "finding" something that's not actually there. Bad analogy I guess. Don't worry 'bout the long time, no talk. It just means we'll have more to chat about when we do get the time!

I don't even count it as a find if I find the destroyed remnants of a cache. I post DNF and a note to that the cache appeared to be destroyed and probably needed someone to check in on it. Recently AB & I went to a spot that clearly looked as if the cache has been found and destroyed (even an obliterated blacked out Altoid tin on the ground). I was sad but then I found the cache in a different spot.
