Subtitle: Why I'm Surprised I'm Not Single! When I first started playing I downloaded everything even remotely shiny that I could get my hands on because I've got a fairly nice computer which can handle most everything I throw at it. I had lots and lots of Steffor furniture/clutter/junk (ugh) and couldn't make up my mind between sweet pastels and smoke-stained grunge. Eventually through much toil and hair-pulling I whittled down my Downloads folder from something like 6-8GB to just over 2GB. And after installing Apartment Life and starting all over, I've got 1.4GB, most of my files being Maxis recolors, clutter, Holy Simoly furniture, and clothes. Because I'm waiting for my boyfriend to let me have a crack at Warhammer Online I decided to make a chart outlining how I organize my Downloads folder. I don't really know why, as it isn't a very complete chart and probably of little use to anyone but me, but there you are. If anything it serves as a glimpse as to why I don't play the game so much as carefully catalog it. Click on the image to see the full-size version.
Generally everything is organized into basic categories with certain sets of CC given their own "stickied" folders so that I can easily swap them out should the mood strike. The basic categories have subfolders (Furniture -> Decorative Items) and more subfolders (Decorative Items -> Clutter), are finally organized by website and creator (GoS - Azaya) and then smaller sets of CC are given their own final subfolder (Dining In Dreamland, Crocheting's Easier).
Oh yeah, and if anyone has any requests for more Sarhra eye recolors, let me know. I'm futzing with one idea from
chokelate and if I'm going to be there might as well do more if possible.
