There have been a lot of people on the phones trying to encourage people to ignore the letters. A few have offered up their homes as refuge, but there's still a lot of killing going on.

You should stay inside until it's all over. People have been getting letters from the town with instructions to kill someone else in the town, in exchange for stuff from home back.
