[That voice probably hit him harder than he imagined. Probably because he just realized that... even children were probably being killed off by the monsters this city had turned people into.]
I'll try to explain that in a bit. But more importantly, are you okay? Is there anyone there with you?
[That's not right at all. Nobody should be left alone in all this chaos. Especially not people that have no possible way of defending themselves.]
That's no good. Do you at least have food and water? I... really wouldn't suggest anyone go outside with the town like this. People are being killed off left and right by people that are buying into the letters the city sent.
Because... The census they sent, it asked very personal questions. Questions that could be used against us, to make us do things if we actually believed the town was capable of it.
[And his voice will drop into a much sadder tone.]
The woman I was assigned to target was like that. ...Of course, I can't kill someone. I'm supposed to protect lives, not take them away. So I tried to talk some sense into her, but she just... she went on anyways.

[She looks around, unsure] I don't know if I'm alone or not, to be honest. I haven't looked around my house. But I don't hear anyone either...

[There's a stunned pause.] I don't...understand-- why...?
