I am trying not to hate the entire world today, but things like this charming piece of fanart (warning for homophobic violence) are not making it easy.

Apparently the artist and their friends think it's the cutest thing ever, too.

Guys I saw that message in a Tintonologist group:

"I've just got into arguments with Tintin slash fans these past days. They were crying persecution because the DevArt comm that I'm part of stopped accepting slash works, but are accepting Tintin/OC works. I'm just at a loss with the ones that seem to be painting me as an intolerant homophobe. They just refuse to see that it's not about gay rights or tolerance, but respecting Herge's work."

People are so funny...they don´t want to be seen as homophobic but when they ask for "respect" they only refer to the homosexual aspects. I´ve never seen anyone seeing as "disrespectful" a pic of Tintin with some girl, something that isn´t even in the books.

Another thing: There´s some books that depict Tintin in straight porn. But I guess nobody think that ones are a disrespect to Herge´s work. *roll eyes*
