After 25+ years of chemically straightening, hot combing, flat-ironing, blow drying, and generally beating my hair into submission to get it to stop being curly, I've decided to go natural ( Read more... )

I'm going to try to take photos as things progress. I'm planning on buying myself a f/1.4 lens this month, too, so we'll see how that works with self-portraits.

I'd absolutely go with you to get a hair cut, I could use some moral support. My hair, when I wear it down, is about shoulder length, so even though it's "just hair," I think I'm still going to freak out a little when it gets chopped.

I'm sure it will look great, and you will feel awesome about not spending all the time to beat it into submission. AND if you get sad for it, you can grow it out and do those things all over again.

Were they naturally raised and harvested aloe plants? ;)

They were organic! Ha!

I'm at the phase now where I could just go and get it straightened again, but then I'm starting to actually see waves and ringlets at my roots, so I can't turn back now!
