I am so freaking excited!!!  I'm leaving for SCBWI LA tomorrow!!!  I can barely contain the *squees* that want to shoot out of my body.  Last year I was hoping to go to LA for the first time, but I unexpectedly talked myself out of going.  It just didn't feel right.  In fact I told my husband, who was encouraging me to go, that I'd decided to wait ( Read more... )

I love my local conference. It's like a Hershey kiss: small, sweet and completely irresistible. The Eastern NY SCBWI was the first conference I've ever attended and it's filled with great memories and wonderful friends. All great conferences start off with the hard work of the Regional Advisor!!!

I'm going to start this blog by "sort of" apologizing for its tardiness.  In between now and the Eastern PA Fall Philly Conference I've finished the revisions on my YA novel TOUCHING THE SURFACE and have sent the full manuscripts out to two AMAZING agents.  I'm hoping that you'll see me as a good role model who didn't let her blogging time ( Read more... )

I know...I've been a bad girl. I've let my third installment of the conference slip to the way side, but its not what you think. The conference didn't lose my interest. Its the exact opposite.
