Looking at the research pics

Was looking at the journal entry that has the pics for the project before heading to bed, and looking at the ruff monkeys, one of them is wearing a doublet with a curved front (I can see shadow hatching under her breast). I think I want to make a matching doublet for this kirtle eventually, so no red dress for my daughter

IMO, the farthingal kirtle skirt is by far the most interesting. Though probably also the hardest to launder!

Yes, it is interesting. I think I'll hold off on making that up until I can research it further. Some friends on a forum thinks it may just be striped fabric, and not lines of the bones of a farthingale.
