Okay. I'm never going to make this a well-thought-out entry in my current state, so I'm just going to jot down my jumbled thoughts so that I can get this darn issue out of my brain, at least a little bit. ArtMajor is full of shit.

The art/craft divide is used to create different classes, and, all too often, to denigrate certain kinds of art made primarily and historically by women - such as quilts and other fabric creations. Of course there is a class of art called fabric or textile art, these days.

More importantly, those two self-portraits of yours? They are beautiful and original. And they are art.

(Oh, and her idea that collages aren't art? I would raise my eyebrows so high they would have flown away if she ever said something like that to me. You mentioned Picasso, so I didn't have to. He would laugh in her face. She is just stupid on this point.)
