So … the neurologist. He said that he thinks I have arthritis in my neck, which can cause "brisk" or "exaggerated" reflexes, but nothing that requires treatment and nothing that would cause this kind of fatigue. If your gut is telling you to go for a second opinion, go for a second opinion. If you get the same answer, then a third opinion is probably excessive. But a second opinion makes sense.

This. You have 1) lots of good reasons not to trust doctors, and 2) a maverick body. Second opinions are important.
