A neurologist's office phoned me today to make an appointment … and the soonest they offered was October 14, nearly 7 weeks away. My primary care physician had told me that she wanted me seen within 2 weeks, so I've emailed her and asked if she can help somehow ( Read more... )

You're probably looking at a series of MRIs first, a nerve test that I can't remember the name of, and then maybe a spinal tap if the other tests aren't conclusive. I went through all this about nine years ago (and was never diagnosed with anything.) I've still never been diagnosed with anything. I hope they can figure out what's going on with you, and that it's not scary!

I'm sorry, this is scary. You might ask the neurologist's office to put you on a waiting list for cancellations, if you haven't already.

Yeah, be pushy - there's got to be somebody who can see you sooner. Maybe they can refer you to somebody else.
