Throwing stuff out

Much purging today ... of the ownership kind, not the digestive kind. We plan to move a bunch of stuff into the garage this weekend (if the cement is dry), so I've been going through all my junk that's been sitting in cardboard boxes in the closet for years. I'm with you. Getting rid of stuff feels good. Life is about experiencing things and spending time with friends and loved ones (also furry loved ones), not about amassing cartons of stuff.

One of the things I found and did *not* get rid of was a very cute photo of you, Bonnie, and me from a party at my old apartment on Claremont. I wonder what ever happened to her.

Last I heard she was living in Eugene, Oregon and batting for the other team. :-) Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I found that much of the stuff was stuff that other people had given me, and which I'd kept out of a feeling of obligation. But I figured a decade or two is long enough to keep something out of obligation.

I did keep a plaster hand print my dad made when he was about 4 years old, which his adopted sister sent to me not long after he died. I don't know what to do with a plaster hand print (except put it in a box), but how could I get rid of that?
