Devos + adoption + the lack of a Christmas tree + gift cards + much more.

+ We just did devotions together for the first time in ages. It helps that I finally found my Quiet Time that went missing in September. It was under the couch... where Isaac and I had both checked more than once. Isaac prayed for our child who may already be out there somewhere and of course I started crying. There is nothing guaranteed to make me ( Read more... )

Twinkle lights like that can stay up all year round, if you ask me. I adore them! My bro and SIL had some around the ceiling of their living room that they left up all year, and I loved it. So no judgment from me! =o) The tree, however, is pretty much necessary to remove by mid-January. Hehe.

*bows* Thank you, thank you...

Who doesn't? Hehe. Seriously, the boy is amazing. I know it was taunting, but I *loved* last night when he did the Gator arm thing to the OK player. Bwaha. Harvin had quite the night too, which is extra awesome since he was coming back from an injury. Woo-hoo!

I didn't know that. That's awesome! I know a lot of people with adopted siblings and/or children, and I know a lot of adopted people. (Half the kids in our church children's program are adopted ( ... )

I totally get what you mean re: horror kids. We have a couple at church, and I've seen a few through teaching too.

Our experience with James will be different from yours in that he had been staying with a loving foster family and we got him at 8mths, so there are no bad memories, just feelings of abandonment. Furthermore, he had the disabilities to live with.

In spite of the difficulties, I would never say that I know of any adoptions stories (and I know several) that have been horrors. A few heartbreaking ones, but never horrors. (My brother is adamant he would *never* adopt, but I would definitely consideri it in the future).

James is easier to pick as an adopted child than my aunt, who actually looks a lot like the rest of our family, whereas he is just so... different in build, temperament and interests.

Besides, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Your motives are pure, and I believe you will be blessed, perhaps even more than you will be blessing the children God has planned for you both.

That would make me cry too!

I love SwagBucks! :) I've earned enough to spend $10 at Amazon already, and by combining that with spending $3.95 of my own, I was able to buy two books off my wish list. :D

I'm glad I'm not alone! Hehe.

You do? Didn't you sign up under me? Weird. I only have that you've earned 13! Did you re-sign up on your own later? Oh well. I'm glad you're earning so much! =oD

Well that's weird. Some of it was earned through someone else who is signed up under me, but I thought I had earned more than 13 on my own. Hm.

Oh, that makes sense, then. I don't earn what your referral earns - just you do. That's still great though! I owe most of mine to my referrals too. Isaac and my friend abideinchrist have kicked butt for me. Hehe. Isaac keeps winning the big ones though - once he won a $10 and once he won a $20!

I guess you would have 15 on your own because you get 2 for signing up. That is odd that you haven't won any recently though. I usually win 2-3 per day... but then, I do a lot of searches, just naturally.
