Murray Gold being shippy shippy shippy

So I was just watching Voyage of the Damned and listening to the audio commentary bc I'm a huge geek like that ... and Murray Gold happened to be one of the commentators, and he said this:

"I'd written this song which comes in just for a little bit, called 'The Stowaway', which was on the album ... so you get a little bit of it, and some of the ( Read more... )

Awww, I love the shippy people who work on the show. I haven't yet had a chance to listen to that commentary but now I think I should.

Also, Murray Gold remains the most consistent member of the crew, his music, even through the crappiest of episodes was still amazing.

You totally should! It's the DVD commentary, not the MP3 one (though I haven't listened to that one yet so who knows lol)

I *hate* that I like that song so much. I hate that. So I never listen to it. It's gorgeous. It's so, SO much prettier than Rose's theme and I resent that deeply lol. It's even prettier than Doomsday. I try not to read too much into that but fail sometimes =P Who am I kidding, I fail at that a lot of times.

Only Martha's theme even comes close in comparison to how beautiful it is - but THAT one at least I can listen to.

I WILL finish my rewatch and commentary watch eventually, when life stops being a bastard. I do love some of them so much though!

I find that like that episode, it's pretty, but it lacks real depth for me. Don't know a lot about music, so I'm sure it's very technically brilliant etc, but Doomsday for example, just the start of that and... Well, there's me just lost.

Martha's theme is one of my favourites! I admit that with no problems at all!

I used to teach guitar, but I don't know jack about music theory XD I was just a self-taught guitarist and I'm good with kids soooooo ... teaching!!! Haha. I like what you said about it lacking depth tho - I suppose it is kind of light and airy and just sorta there ( ... )

XD let's face it, all his songs from the RTD era (Song for Ten, Love don't roam...) were about Doctor/Rose XD

I'm constantly surprised and pleased about how much the production team put into Doctor/Rose <3

Usually yeah ... although it seems like a when-it-suits-them kind of thing to me some of the time honestly >.< ... but I'll take what I can get!
