This book is unhappy, Monsieur St Just.

The Never Never Land is like this place. It calls to whom it wants, and never lets go of some. The boy is a monster and does not know he is a monster. He does not know what death is and yet he always kills. I wonder what he dreams.

The adults are all trapped in their bodies.

I do not like it.

The Easter service was lovely. Thank you, Monsieur le Marquis, for bringing me.

I am myself again, and I'm somewhat relieved, even if I wish it were not over so quickly. I would have liked to have seen a port as I was.
