It never gets better, but becomes part of who you are, sometimes I will be thinking about my Mom (dead over 7 years) and laughing about something she said (years ago) and I realize this is how we become those old people we see talking to themselves . . . . of course now I know it is not quite 'themselves' they are talking to.

An insurance company contacted me about an annuity my Mother had left for me (a surprise because he husband had made sure all insurance policies had listed him) for my sisters half is would have cost more in paperwork fees than then amount of the annuity. turns out is was one of those cheepo put in $50 and the employer will match she had gotten the year before she met her husband. Bought in 1979 it was now worth all of $500. We all get the washer in the end.

I don't think there is such a thing a closure anymore, just moving on
