When 15 cents is a big deal

Apr 26, 2007 22:38

As I was driving this morning I went by the gas station, and just about had a heart attack. Gas yesterday was $2.79, and this morning it was $2.94. How can it jump 0.15 overnight?

And then I get to work, and read this online. I don't believe them for one second.

Simple! We're going to be burning approx. 120 gal next week! It's up to us to support this economy.

Of course! I forgot about that. Now I know whom to blame the next time I'm filling up my gas tank, and trying to figure out how many meals I have to skip to pay for it!

Well, if you don't want us to come back then I guess we'll have to stay here!

No, no, no. I definitely did not say that! I'm just letting you know that the blame for rising gas prices is falling directly on your shoulders. A lot to bear, but I know you can handle it!

Ouch!! I really feel for you. It's still hovering around $2.99 or $3.04; depending on which station you're at. With Memorial Day weekend coming up though, I know it's going to spike!
