Haha. I think this must be an asian parent thing. My mom's been pulling shit like that for years. I remember her saying that stuff since I was a kid.

Though, I guess for me, it's been better, since she seems to have decided I'm old enough to make decisions for myself.

Don't worry about it. At this point, all she can do is talk. It's not like she'll sneak into your house place and check the fridge for the oj and milk. And, just because she's older doesn't mean she's wise or whatever. I've never liked that way of thinking. My mom's older than me, but she looks at every person and has some bad stereotype for their race to preach about, a new offending story to say about people. If that's wisdom, I'd rather not partake in the knowledge.

I'm jealous. I haven't even worked up the courage to learn to cook. My mom never really criticized my cooking -- only my ability to set stove tops on fire :x

There hasn't been any SERIOUS incidents. Some cooking oil splashed out of the pan when I wasn't careful and onto the heating elements or I left the stove running with something on it and let it burn till the room filled with smoke x_o Just general uncarefulness.

As a result, I've never actually cooked anything, other than scrambled eggs XP I should probably learn eventually, but I'm a fire hazard :D

I suppose, or that I'm not attractive enough to be attacked :P Asian parents are mean to their kids, lol. Yeah, my mom was pretty careful with me, but my sister is caged and locked away, at this point.

Oh, also lol at the banana thing. "Why did I let your father teach you how to open a banana?" I think that quote really does sum up how absurd it all is.
