Although Macheda began United's preparations for the season 2010/2011 well by scoring twice in pre-season against the All-Star MLS Team. The season itself proved to be hughly frustrating as he found himself behind Rooney, Berbatov, Chicharito and Owen in the peaking order.

Macheda started the match against MLS-All Stars yesterday and he scored twice. Firstly he scored after 24 seconds after a defensive mistake and he then added another from a Nani cross with a header in the 14th minute. He was then subbed off around the 60th minute mark for Welbeck.

Kiko Macheda helped the Reserve team win their first Reserve title since 2006 last week and he followed that up with a MOTM performance against Aston Villa in a play-off at Old Trafford. Macheda set up both Mame Diouf's goals as well as scoring a penalty himself after Corry Evans was fouled in a 3-3 draw.
