Big Changes

Well, it's been a while since I last updated. Two significant things happened...one good and one not so good. First the not so good- grandma passed away last Wednesday after a long illness. I've known the end was near for her for a long time, but I still got upset. I cried at funeral. I loved her very much, and I'll miss her ( Read more... )

I'm really sorry for your grandma, Kiki *hugs*

But I'm also very glad you found your right studies! I think it's awfully important to do the things that interest you, even if it means changing courses in the middle of the studying process. And history sounds great, really :)
Plus, I must say, not planning is the best thing one can do. If my short life has taught me anything, it's surely the fact that whatever's planned will not, for 90%, come true, so easier way is not to plan and just see what life has to offer.

Thanks Carol! *hugs*

I'm really excited to be studying history...and more excited about not having a set plan. You're right- most things that are planned don't come true.

How are you?

Except for the illness part - you know, normal cold, just the effect of walking in the middle of the night in the SNOW IN OCTOBER (WTH?!) - I think I'm just alright. I started studies this year - Polish language and literature - and moved to Warsaw. I still don't quite feel here like at home and I'm still not getting along with my classmates - I guess there are just too many different people in one place - but I'm hoping it will change with time. I'm also getting sorted the studying things - if I chose well or maybe made a mistake, but I think I like it. There are some inspiring people here and I already feel like I learned something that might help me with my writing.

I hope you'll enjoy studying history and that it will bring you many great opportunities. Just keep us posted here, on LJ, because I'd really love to know how it is going for you :)

Carol, I know how you feel about starting your studies and moving away from home. You need time to adjust to a new place with new people, and I'm sure you'll feel better about it over time. Enjoy your studies and good luck. :)

It snowed here as well but not in my town. Snow in October is very odd...
