I swear, whenever I see that argument, I'm like...are you watching the Super Secret Sparrington Director's Cut or something? I'm so glad that your take on the actual kiss is the same as mine. He may be passive with his hands, but both of their reactions are voracious ones. It's not a simple betrayal. There's passion there, a sense of something that's a long-time-coming.

And, umm...one request IF you find yourself so inclined...the moment I saw the movie, I wanted to do something with the wet music on the stand. In that first scene, with Elizabeth, when she's all wet and bridely? I think that's some of the most gorgeous cinematography ever. But then, maybe I'm just shallow. :) Anyhow, one cap of the wet music on the music stand would make me delirious. :)

In relation to some of the above comments...I think I see Jack as played to berather gay as well, but he loves teasing ladies. OF course, when they respond he gets flustered, hense that slightly akward feeling, and of course, the slaps. LOL
Poor Jack. He genuinely like women, but has no idea what to do with them. *snicker*
