It is crazy, they obviously don't realise that it's the small independents that have made Brighton what it is, every city has huge chav clubs and starbucks, this city was different as it had real people running small businesses catering for a small market. Our independent trading area is now overtaken by multinationals cashing in on our alternative culture here, this city has never viewed pret a manger as cosmopolitan because we had alternatives, sadly times are a changin' and all our independents are being left to die at the roadside. Welcome to the new faceless city of london by sea, enjoy your McDonalds and move along please

I wonder what they will do about there own election material they love to hand out. Come to think of it a great chance to go around with a camera and cause all sorts of trouble.
Yes, bloody typical a real case of one law for them and one for everyone else.
Brighton council is really trying to turn it into some boring chav centered none entity of a town. After all it is not as if the clubs are stuck paying huge business rates so are only opening two days a week and frequently going bankrupt, or the smaller more interesting bohemian shop's are been driven out. Welcome to land of the sheepeople
In which case why don't advertise Resistances as a political movement against these laws. Print up A4 flyers with the flyer on one side and your political beliefs on the other. That way you can hand them out with impunity. The club night is then a meeting of like minded people that just happens to have really bloody loud music. Might be worth looking into whether or not you have to register anywhere tho. You don't want to end up being locked up as terrorists, although that would be good advertising.

There was an article in the Metro yesterday about all the silly laws that have popped up over the last few years called 'How To Lable a Sheep'.
Not to mention all the new taxes they've invented.
