Lovely! I'm so happy you got Wilson out of prison! And in such a well thought out way, too.

“You turned the wrong way, House. The hotel is north of here.”
“No, I didn’t. My sense of direction is flawless.”
Wilson frowns. “North is left; you turned right.”
“Yeah, because that’s the way south is,” House says. He looks pleased with himself.

This was my favorite part... Perfect tone.

Ok, back to arguing with FedEx about blood samples.

when i was writing that, it was just like he was here, saying it--'twas one of the few pieces of dialogue i didn't have to wrangle with!

I'm glad they talked. At least a bit. :-)

“You’ve got an infection; suppose you spike a fever. You’re not thinking straight, and you actually use the remote to change a channel. Then,” House continues, deepening his voice dramatically, “weak with fever, you collapse onto the bedspread, and all those nasty, hungry little bacteria crawl into that draining wound. Death! You really want to risk it? You’re a doctor; surprised you didn’t think of that!”
Oh I love House and his reasoning! Wonderful!!! Thank you so much. I'll lol over this for the rest of the day...

I love House and his reasoning!

having reasoned in the same way all my life, i always thought of myself as weird. now i don't--i think of myself and house as simply... uh.... unique. yeah... that's the word. unique! :)

“I blew it too, House. Long before Tritter was even in the picture. My best friend came to me for help. He was honest with me, and he was scared. And I laughed at him. Someday, I might be able to forgive myself for that. But I’ll never forgive myself for allowing things to get so out of hand for him that he was willing to risk everything.”

House has needed to hear that for a long time. Another great installment, thanks.

i oh, so agree! house (and i, and countless other S3 viewers) might've been a lot less upset if wilson had actually said this to house, on the show. sigh....

That apology would mean more to House than any apology Wilson could ever offer, would mean more to him than any offer of 'pizza with a friend'. I kind of hope that some of Wilson's depression are the feelings of guilt about how he treated House this past season, from ignoring the pain, turning him into Tritter, and leaving him on the floor after the od. Not that House didn't bring some of this on himself, but Wilson didn't handle any of it well. Now I am mad at Wilson again, lol.

that thing about the remotes - is that true?

that'd be a yes. my mother walks into hotel rooms with her lysol can aimed and spraying--and she makes certain she soaks both the remote and the phone with the stuff!

I've worked in hotels and wouldn't doubt it.

the north/south discussion

that was one of those fun, easy to write scenes, as house was quite happy to just chatter away while all i did was type!
