hey, quick!

if you have recently been paid to feed/care for someones pets while they were away and/or done housesitting for people with or without pets please tell me how much you were paid!

i have nooo idea how much to ask for.

I got paid $95 to go to my friend's apartment once a day to feed the cats, scoop poop, play with them for a bit, bring in the mail, and water the pets. I did that for two weeks.

i have friends who've done it and they say at LEAST 25 bucks a day (per pet!) some say 50 is more of the running rate. it probably depends how long per day you will be spending with the pets, if you are staying in their house or just stopping by, etc.

oh man the family i might do this for has 4 pets and there is no way they are paying me 100 a day but that would be AWESOMEMEMEMEMEMEMMEME.

Once I watched three cats and a dog for a week or so. I received a bottle of wine as payment. I think $100 or so per week would be ideal.

I've pet-sat for my boss's dogs a few summers; the first time I got $10 per day (two great Pyrenees, one little doggie, one old cat, and one crazy old cat that never moved). None of the dogs needed walking and I didn't have to scoop their poo, either. I only had to feed them occasionally because there was always someone else at the house to feed them. I did have to stay overnight and sleep in the master bedroom with the doggies. As for the cats, I had to clean both litterboxes and make sure they had enough food ( ... )
