I HATE my boyfriend's brother!! I HATE his fucking guts! He just quit drinking after being thrown in jail for probably the 10th time. Stick to your guns, girl. You have every right to be pissed, *especially* when you consider how close he lives to you. There is no reason for him to spend any time in your house. Does your boyfriend understand what you've gone through with your dad? He needs to be more sensitive to the situation.

That's the thing. He DOES know, but he thinks his brother has completely changed and so I should accept him.

I don't care if he doesn't drink for the rest of his life, I'll probably still hate him.

I didn't start dating Dan because I love his family SO MUCH. I mean I like his parents a lot, isn't that good enough? There's plenty of women who hate their boyfriends parents, so I think he should be grateful for that, lol. And they like me too! AND they HATED all his ex-girlfriends which is HILARIOUS, so at least there's that.
