Holiday Shopping Madness

Chris and I went to Fry's today to get a hard drive, due to an emergency that happened. We went around 9:30, and when we got there, we noticed that the line was REALLY long. We didn't actually realize how long the line was until we were trying to find the end of it. It wrapped throughout the entire store, and was estimated at being a 3 hour wait ( Read more... )

Fry's is usually pretty slow, but a three hour wait? That's unbelievable. Must have been a lot of rebates and big ticket items.

Hey, gurl, I'm not dissing your store! =)

I was baffled that people would actually stand in line that long when they could look at the store, but then go home and buy on the internet.

And I wouldn't have gone there, except we had to get a hard drive immediately for a disaster recovery situation. We did lose money by not getting the special rebate, though. Are those deals that Fry's gets with the manufacturer exclusively?

Speaking of shopping days, I found out that Thanksgiving is NOT the biggest shopping day of the year; it's the fifth biggest. I just thought I would pass this information on in the interests of bettering humanity.
