I have not been keeping up with my friends' journals. So much has happened and is about to happen.

Java is no big deal. The most complex thing you have to learn might be... object creation and references to objects? But it's *much* simplified from C++. You don't even have to worry about the standard java classes, because those are intended to be looked up. Java has excellent documentation practices, so you're fine.

You'll do it -- and with time to spare, I'll bet. It does sound chaotic, though.

I think you'll need extra peanut butter to fuel you through it.

Are you learning Java for a class, or a potential career, or both?

The hardest thing about Java is all the extra stuff - the additional packages and classes and compilers and Javabeans and EJB and JSP, different servers, etc... the language itself is fairly simple, but bringing in something else is where it gets tricky.
