Why was Voldemort so happy? Will we find out later? I've been thinking for a while that Voldemort was up to something. In his youth he did much of his work alone so for him to place so much trust in others is strange and I bet he has about twice as many back-up plans than Snape... Unless he really does trust Snape, but I always thought Snape's excuse in the book about him being a triple agent all along was kind of flimsy.
But anyways, I was looking forward to this chapter the most and I think the previous chapters were a good buildup. Perhaps when Snape does realize that Harry does desire him, he won't be so quick to objectify Harry anymore. So I think this guilt should help in the long run.
I don't know if someone like Voldy can ever fully trust another person, but I think he does trust Snape to some extent, even as he keep a close eye on him.
I see how Voldemort specifies only anal or oral sodomy that is forbidden, which matches up nicely to Lucius' plan in NoG. This reveals a little (I think) that Lucius is higher on the totem pole than Severus, though the reasoning behind it is mystifying.
I always thought in NoG that Severus was simply jealous of Hathaway, though this makes much more sense considering the conversation that took place when Harry is under the influence of the potion in NoG. Though, I think Severus was a little jealous, too, even if not blatantly stated, or perhaps he has justified anger towards Harry's rapists on his behalf.
Well, Lucius mentions that to Harry after this event, so it could also be possible that once this was announced, Lucius decided to find a way around it.
I think jealousy does contribute to Severus's reaction, which he hates himself for, even subconsciously. He didn't want anyone else to touch Harry but him, but he had no right to touch Harry in the first place.
Ahhhh I dont know what I should think!!! What, how was that Snape loosing it because those teenagers were raping Harry, telling exactly that to the Dark Lord?!! O_O Why, how? O_O And Voldemort just being 'peaceful' about it all!!! O_O What???
In his desire to save Potter from Avery, he’d given him to a worse monster - himself. :S :S :S
And the ending!!!! Ahhhhh!!!! I want all now!!! :D ;) :D Thank you! :)
Just a guess: Voldemort is happy because he needs Snape to be in love with Harry for the spell to work, right? this is the reason the castiel spell will work now, right? now I want a third version of this fic in voldemorts point of view lol.... he is probably the character in NOG i understand least...
I did try to make him smarter than he seemed to me in canon (I found Rowling's Voldy disappointing), but I hope you will understand why he did what he did come the later chapters...
Wow! I love how mysterious everyone is to everyone else. It's so true to life, though I think we hardly ever realize how little we know about what's going on in the heads of most of the people around us. That's played out sharply in this story and is a lot of fun to read
( ... )
I imagine with a group like the Death Eaters, that mysteriousness would be in tripple fold.
I've tried to drop hints throughout the story. I never know how obvious I am with my hints. Sometimes I think I'm being too obvious only to find that I'm not...
I did make Voldy a bit smarter than he appeared to me in canon because I love smart villains. I hope he comes across as more insane than stupid.
