My mother's youngest brother is the only one of my mother's siblings I get along with fairly well. He had twin daughters born within a few months of me. One died when we were 4 from complications with asthma (only four of my grandmother's grandchildren inherited her asthma to the degree that she had it, the twins, me and my cousin Ricky). What a bitch!! That's just wrong. It sounds like something my grandmother would have done to my grandfather.

One place to start is the County Courthouse - she would have had to file for the marriage license there.There are also people search website that do charge a fee, but they might not be unreasonably priced.

biggest problem is we dont know what county she might have gotten married in. Im hoping the postmark from this recent letter is for someplace in California. That narrows it down a little bit and is a place to start, but we'll see.

I would start with the County related to the postmark. And then try the surrounding counties.
