This fic was so full of heart, I'm bowled over. I'm a fairly active reader in the Merlin fandom and I love a lot of what gets posted, but I very rarely feel as emotionally engaged as I did here. Merlin's pov just swept me up and never let go and it was glorious. The angst was unrelenting at times, but the pay-off was more than worth it.

I just...I'm so glad you wrote this and shared it with us. You're awesome. And now, I'm off to friend you so that the next time you (hopefully) post Merlin ficcage, I'll get my fix that much sooner. :)

Oh, wow. I couldn't comment right away after reading because I got so emotional over this. I absolutely loved this fic. The angst and the pain and the misunderstandings just GOT to me. The main themes seemed so recognizable, so realistic; - how we deliberately or subconsciously conform to the expectations we've grown up with and the wishes of the people who formed us, even if it secretly makes us feel unhappy. How the most obvious and private emotions can sometimes be the most difficult to acknowledge. How a relationship that comes with baggage and a troubled history won't ever just suddenly be a breeze, but can still be *so* worth it. You made me feel all along what Merlin was feeling, I couldn't stop reading, and I was a tense wreck during much of this! But it was *so* worth it. Wonderful, gripping fic - thank you!
