This broke my heart more than once - the bit when Gwen tells Merlin on their cinema night that she's dating Arthur :'(

This was wonderfully written, though, it felt like real pain rather than melodrama and so even though I sobbed my way through most of it I wanted to read it all over again. I'm so glad that Merlin and Arthur got their second chance eventually and that they were happy together in the end.

Yeah. TBH, I think Gwen was pushing a bit at that moment, but people do that sometimes. That was one of the hardest things to write, too. :(

I loved it. I loved that Merlin was willing to step back and let his friends take what happiness they could, that he 'ran away' from them both once they were married, that he tried to make a life for himself. Loved that Arthur realized something was wrong on his wedding day but that Merlin had already left.
