I agree with one of the above comments about my surprise that you chose M/A as your fave ship over K/S. I found those questions in the meme really hard to fill because part of me wasn't sure if I was supposed to be picking my favourite icon depicting a ship (whether or not they're my OTP), or an icon with my favourite ship in it. I chose the latter. However, I didn't do that for my 'favourite fandom' slot. In that instance I chose one of my favourite icons depiction one of my fandoms. Possibly because I don't have a fave fandom right now.
SORRY! REALLY LONG WINDED. :S
You know, I think when we first met you were using the 'fave ship' icon. Every time I see it I think of you. (Get annoyed when others use it! :P)
Huh. I didn't think about it that way, but then the 'best stolen idea' slot gave me pause, because it only seemed to apply to people who make icons themselves. *shrugs*
LOL. Let's just say, I love K/S with all my heart and always will, but I'm madly in love with A/M right now and can't help it. ;)
I do that too! Whenever I get used to someone using a certain icon, I get annoyed when someone else does. We're creatures of habit, it seems. :D
I don't remember when we first met, btw. I can't remember if it was my ST or your Merlin. Or your ST? *g*
You know, I've always been sort of embarrassed at my elephant-like memory for people/faces/how we met. I always thought it made it look like I cared a little too much, especially with casual acquaintances. Silly, right? I just never wanted to come across as The Girl Who Seems Like a Stalker.
Luckily, that ain't a problem with you. ;) So! We met at a Merlin friending meme where I basically just attacked you and haven't let go since. I'd literally just fallen head over heels with ST and Kirk/Spock and wanted more friends with those interests. I hadn't planned hanging out in the meme, but when I saw that you loved ST + K/S (and Merlin obvs.) I thought you'd be someone I might have a lot in common with. :) Although, once when I was inflating my ego by going over comments to some of my older Merlin fic, I noticed you'd written me some lovely things before we'd even met.
And there you have it, the awe-inspiring and slightly creepy extent of my memory for random trivia.
I think it's awesome. I'd rather have that, than staring at people for hours at a time thinking, 'I know I know you from somewhere. Could you tell me where before I die from the effort?' *facepalm*
We met at a friending meme??? O.O Wow. I have absolutely no recollection of this, I always thought you were one of the few people on my flist from the Merlin fandom who didn't come from a friending meme. :D If it's any consolation, I remember the first story by you that I read -- it was (Un)bound. And I remember being completely thrown by it, especially by your language. ;) I was certain we somehow originated from there or something similar. Obviously, chronology isn't my thing. >.<
So friending memes do work sometimes, huh? Who knew? :D
