Last week I completed Advanced Open Water Diver course in Dahab. And now I'm trying to get out of the worst lurking spell I've ever experienced. Also, might take up embroidery. That last is a bit of WTF for me, but the thought won't leave me so I will probably yield.
Uhm, some Friday night dining out & Sunday shopping. Pretty run of the mill. I'm actually saving a bit so I can be more splurge-y on holiday later this month.
I like the A03 but I'm not very fond of their colour scheme. When I'm reading I want to have background colours that don't strain my eyes, and that red header thingy does it.
Hm. I must admit I never paid much attention to the header, considering it goes away when scrolling down... There is that, probably. But I like that you can upload texts of any length, the simple font, and general air. Posting is a bitch sometimes in some aspects, but the end result usually works for me.
They aren't perfect, of course, but from all the archives I used, they're pretty good.
Must be because I do read those headers carefully ;P I love that you can download fic but I'd love it if they changed the search feature a bit because only the most recent uploads appear (50 pages) now.
I'm pretty sure it's the massive surge of Avengers fic. that is fandom seems very on A03 based. It's being going on since the movie came out and the squee started but it's only gotten really bad in the last couple weeks.
But I think they actually came out and said it was because of Avengers. I'm not surprised, seeing as some Avengers fics are getting insane amounts of hits and have only been posted for a couple weeks.
Though the mess at ff.net is likely just adding to it.
LOL. I don't think I'll ever get it, but what the hell, good for them. :D
Yes, except for the stories I wouldn't keep, because well, shame. *winces* It's some kind of weird curse that the stories I personally consider garbage are the ones people get most attached to. I think I just need the time to drop the axe.
I'm not a comic book person either, but I am a Joss Whedon person, so . . . ANYTHING HE TOUCHES IS GOLD, I am telling you. >.<
Anyway, yes, there is a reason FF.Net is called the pit of voles, but you can occasionally find a diamond in there. (It's just a pain in the ass to find them.)
Oh yes, I know. I was there for quite a while, so I'm not speaking out of snobbism. There are good stories there occasionally and I met my best friend there. All the same, I'd rather not go back to that and those drifting accounts make me wonder what to do with them... >.<

Wow, really? Well, I do hope Avengers won't bring them down. Too good a thing to lose.

That's the thing, the fics are stored in a few other places, those I want to keep anyway. But there'll be no redirect or anything. I'm mulling...
