Auntie Ki has been holding back! Holy cow. I knew you wrote stuff other than the aforementioned fanfics, but this is wonderful. The rhythm and the development are fantastic. You just grab that metaphor and run with it beautifully toward that devastating last line.

This has some truly moving imagery in it.
played with stunning accuracy in a perfect harmony
of false notes, an orchestra out of tune.

I can't think of words that better describe the way my arthritis feels in the morning.
