YOU GUYS. Okay, so we all know Torchwood is coming back right? And it's going to be set in the US this round, I hope not everyone is pissed about that. It's still by Russell T. Davies, and it's still BBC's show, and it will be airing on Starz so we don't have to worry about it being ungayified. I'm not worried ( Read more... )

I remember him from ER! I liked him a lot.

Yes, you get Mekhi. You also get RTD, which means that Mekhi could die horribly and without meaning. Gird yourself.

I was never a hard-core Torchwood watcher (for the same reason I'm not a hard-core Glee watcher, they're both way too erratic), but from what I've heard of the new series, I'm cautiously optimistic. I mean, RD is still a self-righteous dick about everything, and way too much of the fandom is still whining about Ianto, so I'll probably never be in the fandom, but there are some interesting ideas being played with in the new series, so I'll definitely give it a chance.

I stopped watching Torchwood after Season 2 when RTD killed off both Tosh & Owen (and I had no desire to watch him kill off Ianto for a very stupid reason - at least Tosh & Owen's deaths meant something.)

However, I do love Mekhi. A lot. I think the first thing I ever saw him in was 'O' - the high school Othello film he did with Josh Hartnett & Julia Stiles. He was really great in that.

It's still not quite enough to make me watch anything RTD has anything to do with, but if Mekhi & John Barrowman make out, I definitely want to hear about it. *g*

I'm excited about this, too! I recently saw a picture of him on set with the cast, and it was a bit surreal.
