I've loved RPing Larxene since CoM first came out because she's like the psychologist's equivalent of Disneyland. She reminds me of the cruel, calculating, femme fatales of true crime I find absolutely fascinating.

What I don't understand is this loving "nasty lady with a heart of gold" mommy-figure people seem to come up. I don't even know where it comes from. I've learned to file it under "baffling Organization stereotypes with no canon base."

(Offtopic: What is Dreamwidth? Is it just LJ with ten times the population of hyper-PC social justice warriors? Because that's what I've heard.)

Now that you mention it, this rant works for basically every member of the Organisation when written by the Apologists (with the exception of Roxas and possibly Axel, depending on who he's backstabbing/siding with now).
Clearly the guys who, amongst many other examples, unleashed more powerful Heartless on the multiverse, turned a life-giving dragon into a Nobody and showed absolutely no qualms about killing Roxas if he didn't play nice and haul his ass back to the Castle are just MISUNDAHSTOOD.

(To be honest, I'm not really sure about what Dreamwidth is, but it seems pretty much like how you've heard it described. I just moved there for the KH sporking comm, since LJ has gotten worse lately about stuff like payment and refusing to turn back the ridiculous new comment system despite everyone and their mother complaining about it because "screw you guys". It's not like I used LJ for anything other than this comm, sporking and the PW kink meme. XD)

I've never had this problem specifically with Larxene, but I do know how annoying it is to find stuff like that, so I can totally see where you're coming from.

Also, I'm now off to read The Renegades, because that sounds interesting.

I read the next bit of Baby Roxas this morning, decided I could go read some IC-Larxene somewhere to get in a writing mood... and completely failed to find anything good. That's why this rant is focussed on Larxene, but it can extend to pretty much every "Draco In Leather Pants"-character in any fandom anywhere.

Wow, people actually do characterize Larxene that way? She's usually one of the only ones IC in bad fic.

I'd like to know about it also if this comm moves over to dreamwidth. All but one of my RPs has headed off to dreamwidth or is in the process of doing so.

It basically depends on if you're reading apologists-fic or not. If you're reading a normal fic, then Larxene is gloriously IC, but the apologists seem intent on making sure we pity/like everybody in the Organization somehow and this ensues.
