Entirely in agreement. Consoles are freaking expensive, and in terms of fandom, having the games separated makes people not play them, and then they get confused when the people who HAVE played all of them get mad at them for screwing with canon (e.g. people who didn't play CoM on the GBA). :/

Also, isn't one of the games exclusively for play on mobile phones? If that's the case, then good luck getting it sent abroad. @_@ Japanese cell phones, from what I've seen, are in a whole different dimension from, for example, American ones. I highly doubt that they're going to be compatible.

Although most of the consensus I keep hearing is that that game's probably going to suck anyway, but I'm still willing to give it a chance...

But then again, that depends wether or not the events are canon. Take a look at the first Mobile Kingdom Hearts game for instance. It's just a small platform game created by Disney, no real events to mess up canon. :/

I ain't worried. I'm only missing a PSP and I can buy one of those whenever I need to. *shrugs* Christmas and various other seasonal festivals are coming up so ask for a console or money to put towards one of them and quit your bitching.

It's not like they're coming out tomorrow.

That's a little rude, imo? Not every person out there gets a lot of money/expensive gifts for christmas or their birthdays. There really are people out there who pay for their own stuff, and when it comes down to groceries or a PSP, hopefully they make the wise choice, though I have a few friends who often don't.

Granted, fandom is an expensive hobby overall, but with the hefty pricetags of consoles nowadays, it's getting worse.

It is expensive, but it isn't as if there isn't plenty of time to save up for one or both of the handhelds. The dates for both of the new games are still TBA for JAPAN, so it's not like people in the US are gonna be getting them anytime soon.

Squeenix used to be so good about making almost all of their games on one console, too. Personally, I blame the PS3's suck for a lot of this - if they can't guarantee how well the console will do, they hardly want to start making a bunch of games for it.

But yeah, it's annoying. Squeenix has gotten so experimental with consoles recently, and my wallet complains.

It's irritating, sure, but it gets people to buy other consoles. :| It also means that more people can play KH games w/o buying more consoles: a bunch of people picked up CoM because they had a GBA, for instance. Mind you, CoM kind of sucked (I hate you, Replica), but it still meant that people without PS2s could play a Kingdom Hearts game.

There're emulators, at least. And reading the game script + watching the cutscenes.

At least coded looks like it's going to suck?

They really should just port everything to one console though D:
