On Character development, plot-holes and crossovers.

Hello there!

I've just finished KH2. I loved the game (kicking and slicing buildings FTW!), but its plot left me wondering about some aspects which are rarely touched in most fanfics (or at least the ones in FF.net, though I admit I haven't surfed the KH section too much).

I think one of the main reasons that Donald and Goofy are ignored in most fanfics are the fact that they aren't slashable (hopefully x_x). I always felt that the Disney side of KH felt a little out of place, especially in KH2 where the plot was so much darker. You'd see this awesome, enigmatic character with an enormous weapon.... and then Goofy, making retarded noises and ducking behind his shield.
But hey, I've got nothing against Disney; I'm an animator myself and deeply respect and enjoy both old and new characters and stories. It just sort of bothered me when Goofy and Donald snapped me out of the seriousness of the story, even though I know they were there to keep the game rated E.
However, I don't particularly like it when there's a fic that completely glosses over the two just because they are silly. I'd rather they were mentioned, had a few lines, but weren't a pivotal part of the plot. That's just me.

And a Digimon/KH crossover? I'm interested! I loved 02, and the Dark Ocean episode was one of my faves. ^^

Actually, I've seen a couple of fics that slashed them with Sora and Riku. Can't tell you more about them because I didn't read them (I'm not into slash, and even less into cross-species couplings). I'm more a gen type of girl :D
