Dear fanbrat,

I know any plot idea can be good when it's well done. But this? No. Let's see... Sora has ADD, Leon is his brother, Cloud is his cousin and they've just moved to Destiny Islands. Uh, no. This looks like yet another HSAU with an attempt at a twist. The only saving grace it has is that Leon seems to be in character.

No love,

Me

And here I ( Read more... )

Dear fanbrats, STOP MISREPRESTING ADHD. I have ADHD and it really pisses me off when they use a disorder as humor. Except for Ansem Retort.

How about Malcolm? I have no idea about the anagram thing. :D''

They always do that with ADD/ADHD. They never get it right. People with ADD/ADHD just have more energy. My friend didn't have her meds one day and was chasing me around in a pool. I had to hide behind a camp counselor. Not cool.

Those who haven't studied it properly or who don't have anything never get it right.

That sucks D: You passed it though!

At the end of grade 3 I found out I have Asperger's Syndrome (a form of Autism) and I have a few mild things to go along with it. (OCD, ADD, Learning Disablities and possibly anxiety.) I made some really good friends out of it though. And I understand what happened with people being jerks.

Pfft. I have ADHD. D: And I'm not a hypertastic spaz. If anything I'm an easily distracted, but still easily made to be irritable and overly serious. I swear, the misdiagnosis of ADD/ADHD is really a pain in the ass.

I'm sorry, I'm not very good with names. Liet; tixel...I don't know. Leto, toxel...?

It seems to me like the only thing the 'author' got right was the part about being easily distracted, but since I don't know all the symptoms of ADD or ADHD I can't be certain.

As for the OC name, he's not a member of the Organization. He was used the same way Namine was, so I don't think his name would just be an anagram. Thanks though. Tixel and Toxel? ... XD Sounds like two Nobodies living in a clock tower or something. *plotbunny'd*

Srsly, there's a difference between ADHD and just plain annoying. There was a kid in my psychology class who was just downright annoying. And impulsive. He'd just blurt out whatever was on his mind at any given moment, even if it was during a lecture. Guess what? He didn't have ADHD. He even went to a doctor to check. He was just annoying.

Personally I'd LOVE to see Sora and Riku getting bullied. It's not something I've ever seen pulled off very well, if at all. :D But I can't really help you with names; I pretty much use the same 3 or 4 over and over again. :[

It does seem like the author made a genuine attempt to give him some kind of disorder that he really can't help, but research wouldn't have hurt. I give a few points for Riku being one of the ones who sticks up for him, though.

It's more like the character tried to bully them. Only he underestimated Riku and therefore wound up getting his ass kicked. I need to get off my ass and write that. I'm having a little too much fun with this new RP, though.

Those types really piss me off. Okay. You don't/shouldn't write about characters with nerological problems unless you:
A) Have one (or some)
B) Know someone with it or
C) Have studied them very throughly.

Hrm. Ilsehd or Rowds, each is an anargram or Sword or Shield.

Hmmm, a name for your character..... In my opinion, a regular name for your character's other is fine. Unless you want something funky like Tidus or Wakka, than probably a play on words or something like that. Like are there any synonyms for mean or dominating that could translate well into a name or something. Or maybe even another language that could possibly mean something.

As for the nobody name, again, once you choose your character's other's name, you could try changing that into a more complicated version of it.

Also, just in my personal opinion, you should either stick with the nobody's power being either manipulating dreams, or preventing the portalling thing. Just choose one power, and make it more general to give it more power. Like besides of manipulating dreams, he could manipulate a person's actions, to a certain extent. Or something. I dunno. It is your character, and you could have a solid story as to why and how he has his abilities.

I've worked out the name issue since I posted. Thanks anyway.

As for his powers, he had the ability to block portals before he lost his heart. I'm working on his back story, but much of it isn't necessary for his role in the early parts of this story. It'll actually be spread through the story as some of his character development. He acquired the power over dreams when he lost his heart.

As for manipulating a person's actions, I have a seperate character with that power and she's not showing up until much later.
