Dear certain authors,

If you want to put in author's notes, keep them either the beginning or the end of the chapter or both. Please don't insert them in the middle of the narration. It's really distracting for the reader.

I imagined that read in Mary Poppins' voice.

Anyway, Mary is you're right. What makes this more annoying is the fact that most of the notes don't have much to add, they're just some brainless comment along the lines of "A/N: OMG so kawaii!! *_*". Totally destroys the mood.
