I never expected to be doing this, but I've seen it so many times now that I want to kill myself. I don't actually read this community often, I pop in and read whatever is new every once in a while, so maybe someone else has been just as aggravated as I am...Anyway ( Read more... )

*snicker*

Sorry, that line about the Dark Alley of Foreboding Silence... XD

Who knows where they got it, really? It may be because Roxas was on the ground, killing as heartless that popped out of the ground; they needed an excuse for him to be there.

Oh god, I don't know how many times I've seen this. Demyx goes to Atlantica to... do something not mentioned, just because the author wants to see him in a fin, assuming he'll even take a merman appearance.

Psshhh. Usually they don't even state the mission, they just have Xemnas say, "I need you to go to soandso, kthnxbi."

But apparently Castle Oblivion needs patrolling, because on the basement trio's task wheel one of them had the job of patrolling (I think it was Zexion).
Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, but I just re-read that part of the manga yesterday.

Because it's their city and they've got plenty of servants to throw into patrol is the first thing that came to mind.

I've never actually read a fic where the city was patrolled except for one of my own, and Sorrow of Magpies, and in the latter case it seems believable that the Organization members would-- almost stupid that they wouldn't. (I think the reason they send servants out in my own fic makes sense, but everyone thinks their own fics makes sense).

Of course, anything in a fic that happens for no reason sucks, and that's a pretty common failing in a lot of fiction. "Send X character to Y place so plot device can happen!" Er. No. We need more substantial reasons than that.

Maybe I'm missing the point of the rant, though, and in that case... yeah. XD;; I take that back.
