What's up with people making King Mickey human just so he can do Riku?

Let's be honest: it's not hot. This is Mickey freaking Mouse we're talking about.

I've read fics where he just randomly strolls into Riku's bedroom (Riku has a bedroom in the darkness, apparently), and Riku remarks "The king chose to use his human form...", the very same human ( Read more... )

You can love it, I'm not saying you can't. But people are just making up stuff and it's annoying. Like... "Lolz, Mickey and Riku are in the darkness! That's totally a pairing! Now, how can I make this acceptable? I know, let's make Mickey human, because he doesn't deserve love otherwise!"

(I'm probably guilty of endorsing worse things, though.)

That is EXTREMELY AND COMPLETELY, NOT-NOW-AND-NEVER-IN-THE-UNIVERSE-WILL-BE-OKAY. ARRRGH.

Can I also just say that the idea of turning Mickey, Donald and Goofy or any of the Disney characters into "human form" pisses me the hell off? It's like, the Disney characters somehow "aren't good enough" i.e. can't sex up anyone else unless they're magically human like maybe less than 50% of the cast EVERYONE ELSE. That's BULL.

I don't hate on people for having the pairing, but it just feels like people aren't being creative enough or supportive of Mickey. "He's not good enough; let's make him human", pretty much.
