A purring click reverberated from Leon's side, a feeling of cold seeped into the area. The heartless bounded into the way, blocking Leon's path to the door. Taller, thinner than the heartless he had met before these creatures tottered gamely on long, spidery limbs. Dark blue tongues flicked out, licking at lidless eyes. The feelers on their heads danced in erratic patterns.

"Hee kyuu!" One chirped, in what would be a friendly manner, if it didn't give off the direct impression that it wanted to eat Leon.

Leon stared at the heartless, growling slightly and readying his weapon in his usual two hand grasp, he ran towards the heartless ( ... )

Looking up, Leon saw the upside-down face of Cloud Strife. "You weren't going to get that one were you?" Cloud pointed to where an explosion of green balls were bounding about.

The blond man then looked around, taking check of the other heartless before swinging the blade over Leon's head, turning his back to the other man and holding it up at the ready. He looked down and over his shoulder at Leon. "Wouldn't want to hog all the fun."

"...Whatever."

Leon stood up, wincing slightly. Fucking heartless. It had been stronger than he had thought it would be, but then again, he probably would've gotten it. Eventually. Hopefully. Damnit, he was glad Cloud was here, but that had been a hit to his manly pride. If, you know, he still had any after some of the, ah, things he had seen. In his dream. Last night. Which made him blush.

Damnit.

He turned away from Cloud, standing in a slightly skewed ready stance, considering he was already injured. "...There aren't that many."
