I wanted to post something about the passing of Gary Gygax, but couldn't figure what to say. We'll never know what the world would have been like without D&D (and all the things that followed on....)

I'm loving this teasing spring weather.

I'm tired and having a bit of a rough patch, but this too shall pass. Midterms, etc. Bleah.

I can't imagine what my life would have been like without gaming, and his games first came out when I was a teenager (and I still have them).

I hope this rough patch (seems like it's been going on a while, now) gets tired of hanging around and goes somewhere else! O, for a Rough Patch with ADD.

D&D was a wonderful thing for me and many of my friends back in college (when the Greyhawk addition to the original three-booklet boxed set was the cuttng edge of RPG). The games we used to have in the SCA crowd in Bhakhail were also a lot of fun. Now there are so very many games that couldn't exist as they do without the groundwork set by D&D. For all his faults, Gygax helped create a basic element in my life, and I appreciate it a lot.

Somewhat related, Editrx and I have both our mains up to 70 now, and we're learning how to play WoW all over again.

Does it help your rough patch if I were to tell you that I am going to Pennsic? Cause I am. Lets see if we can hook up and party. :D
