My instant reaction to tonight's Supernatural
Castiel is totally a Winchester!
He was up against the wall with Raphael, if he pledged his allegiance then the Apocalypse aka the thing that he fell almost all the way from grace to prevent would happen because Raphael wanted it to happen. And if he didn't side with Raphael then he would die along with Dean and Sam.
So what did Cas do?
HE MADE A DEAL WITH A DEMON TO SAVE SAM AND DEAN!
It's the classic Winchester way of coping with a shitty choice. You do whatever the hell you can do to save your family. And that's what he's become to Dean and Sam....he saved them both from Hell and then he was just lost and didn't know what else he could do...
Plus now he's using the classic Winchester reasoning of "you wouldn't understand" and "let me explain it to you"
I'm sure that people that don't like Castiel are going to hate this episode, but I actually really liked it....it showed just how human Castiel became because of his involvement with the Winchesters. It showed that he learned to be human, make human decisions and human mistakes all by watching DEAN and SAM....(well mostly Dean, but you see what I mean?)
He's making the SAME mistakes that Sam and Dean have both made over the past 6 seasons...and he doesn't know how to explain himself to them because deep down in his core he knows he's most likely wrong, but it's what he's learned from them. He's totally become Winchester.
Now can we talk about that preview?
HOLY SHIT! That's gonna be a jam packed 2 hours isn't it? Wow!
