Roof: What Next

Lisa says that we've completed everything she set out to accomplish during my trip up here this month, so anything else we accomplish in the remaining days is a bonus. She has decided for now to not put down any White Goo on the sections we covered already and to instead concentrate on the rest of the north roof.

With the closer pictures, I can see why replacing the roof would be so expensive... stripping off multiple layers of shingles, replacing any rotted roof deck, fixing the fascia, and putting all new materials down is not cheap - and the steepness of the roof only adds to the complications and cost.

If the roof is ever replaced, there are some shingles on the market that are treated to actively discourage moss growth. They are definitely worth considering, especially since IIRC, the cost difference between those and other quality shingles is very minimal.
