Last night, Lisa decided that she just was not up to attending Costume-Con. She's not sick; she just did not have enough spoons to deal with it. She did tell me that she wanted me to go, though, and I was essentially committed, even though my original staff position evaporated when nobody filed a bid for the Costume-Con two years from now. So sorry Lisa wasn't up to going, better she stay home and corral her energy for other things.
The Zone8 at the Matrix casino is not bad for food at the right time. Admittedly, I've not been since pre-pandemic, but if you're looking for late food and the hotel isn't doing it, they used to have 1/2 price specials after 9pm in the bar (at the entrance off Airport Parkway). Appetizers that if you collect 2 or 3, can serve as a meal. Lots of BIG screens and sports-ball stuff, but other than Sunday during the Warriors-Kings playoff game at 12:30pm, shouldn't be too bad. I would not go during regular meal times unless pressed.
Haven't been to the Bay 101 for food or anything, but it was expensive last I looked.
Can't recommend the Denny's near Airport/1st. SLOOOOOOW service, give-a-damn is almost out the window and food is mediocre at best.
Pho Bel Air in the BurgerIM building is good for Pho and anything on their menu.
