Lisa and I will be at Loscon 47/Westercon 73 this coming Thanksgiving weekend, and we've been asked to stage Match Game SF. It's going to be a little scaled down because the room to which we've been assigned isn't that large. I have never played it and have no idea what it entails. I don't remember the original Match Game on TV. Let me know what it entails for knowledge etc. for a panel member. I am decent at some trivia but not popular culture.

It's probably better if you've ever seen it before trying to play it. It's not a trivia contest. The host (me) asks fill-in-the-blank questions like "The Starfleet Admiral said, 'Captain Kirk has the biggest ___ in Starfleet!'" The panelists write down how they would fill in the blank, and then the contestant tries to guess what the most popular answer is among the panelists. In other words, the contestant is trying to match the panelists.

I will be at LosCon and have been a contestant on Match Game SF at least once. Won a Lovely Parting Gift ribbon for my audience answer once too.
