Smoke Gets In Your Nose -- Or Not

Today I replaced the filter on my CPAP unit. It was interesting seeing how much smoke the machine was preventing me from breathing.

Wow. That's impressive. Your CPAP model is very different from mine. I have a small gray piece of foam for the filter. You just rinse it out and let it dry rather than replace it.

I have a two-stage filter system on my unit. The outer filter is the reusable gray foam thing like yours. The inner filter is a single-use filter like you see here. Following the instructions with the unit, I wash out the gray filter every two weeks (actually I have several of them and rotate them) and replace the white filter every four weeks.
